$4,250,000.00 Product Liability – exploding gas can causes burn injury
Attorney Jonah Flynn represented three burn survivors against a retailer of a plastic portable gasoline container which exploded, causing severe injury. The case involved litigation on two coasts and was defended by multiple national law firms. Using expert witness testing, Jonah was able to show that a simple .15 cent flame arrestor in the neck of the gas can would have prevented the explosion and severe injuries caused by “flame jetting” from an exploded gas can. Case settled day before trial after extensive motion practice and expert discovery. Because (in part) of the groundbreaking litigation pursued by Jonah Flynn and others, plastic gas cans now have flame arrestors, to prevent them from exploding.
