$2,500,000.00 – Mississippi Electrical Injury to Contract Lineman – Burn Injury-Workplace Injury
Jonah Flynn represented a lineman burned by energized powerlines on a utility pole which did not meet the standards of the National Electric Safety Code. The contract lineman was dispatched to work on powerlines owned by a small, rural electrical co-operative. Unbeknownst to the lineman, the utility poles were not equipped with insulated guy wires, contrary to code, creating a dangerous workplace. The lineman was electrocuted after inadvertent contact with energized portions of the utility pole. Previous counsel mis-handled the case, and Jonah Flynn was brought in midway through discovery. Upon his retention, Flynn Law Firm conducted its own scene investigation, interviewed and deposed additional witnesses, hired new experts, and was able to achieve a substantial result.
